Day in the Life of a Plastic Surgeon
Cure Found’s premiere general club meeting where club members were able to meet the faculty advisor, Dr. Ryan Thomas, M.D, along with the executive board members. In this meeting, Dr. Thomas presented on pulmonary medicine and Cystic Fibrosis while going in depth about his role as the head pulmonologist at MSU’s CF Center.

Pita Way Fundraiser
Cure Found partnered with Pita Way on a fundraising effort, during which 20% of all proceeds from sales at Pita Way between 4pm and 7pm were donated to Cure Found MSU. Both members and the executive board actively participated in promoting this event to support fundraising for partner organizations and Cure Found MSU.

Trivia Night
Cure Found co-presidents Atef, Naim, and Alexis hosted a trivia night focused on the science of Cystic Fibrosis. Members had the opportunity to deepen their understanding while competing for prizes; the top two winners received t-shirts courtesy of The Bonnell Foundation. The event also served as a farewell for co-president Alexis Mashni, who is graduating from MSU.

Rick’s Fundraiser
Cure Found organized a fundraiser at Rick’s American Cafe, running from 8:00 PM to 2:00 AM. The event successfully raised over $2,000 in donations. All proceeds will support Cure Found’s mission to raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis and provide premier medical opportunities for pre-health students

Frog Dissection Clinic
Dr. Gerald Urquhart, Ph.D., a biology professor at MSU Lyman Briggs College, led the frog dissection event organized by Cure Found. This event offered members an opportunity to enhance their understanding of frog anatomy through practical dissection experience under his guidance.

Blood Drive
Cure Found, in collaboration with the American Red Cross, organized a campus-wide blood drive to address the ongoing emergency blood shortage. The event, which took place from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, saw active participation from Cure Found members who both donated and volunteered. A diverse group of donors contributed to the success of the drive.

Bake Sale
Cure Found hosted a bake sale at Wells Hall from 11:30 AM to 4:00 PM, where students enjoyed a variety of desserts and refreshments. The proceeds from the sale supported the organization’s efforts to raise awareness of Cystic Fibrosis and provide pre-medical opportunities for its members.

Stop The Bleed Certification Event
Cure Found and Alpha Epsilon Delta collaborated to host a Stop The Bleed Certification Event, led by a certified Emergency Medicine Technician and Stop The Bleed Instructor. The training focused on teaching members how to recognize life-threatening bleeding and effectively intervene. A total of 52 members successfully completed the training and received Stop The Bleed certificates from the American College of Surgeons Committee on Trauma.
