Alexis Mashni
Founder
“I co-founded a student organization, Cure Found, as a proactive approach to the lasting impacts I hope to leave in the field of medicine. We advocate for individuals with Cystic Fibrosis (CF) while providing networking opportunities for motivated pre-health students passionate about positive healthcare impact. I am grateful to have found my passion for the healthcare field and also give back to my community by helping others unveil their ambitions.”
Alexis Mashni, a co-founder of Cure Found MSU, has graduated from MSU’s College of Natural Science and Honors College, where she double majored in Human Biology and Psychology. She aspires to be a practicing physician. Alexis has been actively involved in research as an assistant in the Michigan Twin Neurogenetics Study (MTwiNS) at MSU, which explores brain and behavior development in twins through gene-environment interactions. Beyond her academic pursuits, Alexis volunteers at both the Origami Rehabilitation Center and Sparrow Hospital. Her commitment to the medical field began at a young age, having earned certifications as a nurse’s aide, medical scribe, and medical assistant. After completing medical school, Alexis hopes to specialize in either family medicine or cosmetic surgery.
